So far, I can only read and write in it. It seems that English would be one of the hardest languages because of all the weird spellig exceptions.

Well we use transcription to spell properly, but of course it will take a lot of time to remember all exceptions! And Russian language's rules is more difficult than English, even now I doubt sometimes when use them!
