Description A quick break back into the sci-fi art scene by yours truly- It seems I just dont have time for these ~15-30 hour projects anymore. This one started out as being the first in a series of "quick excersises" , but you know me- as soon as a get something I like I gotta take it all the way so here it is after ~ 20 hours of Photoshop development and study. I spent alot longer working with the more artistic side of this one, messing with the colours and composition, the way things complimented eachother. Finally got a chance to apply the new Wacom on some space art (but only on the last bit so the nebula stands 75% mouse-d). Expect some more work from me in the near future, no- Im not dead

Dont have much more to say except that this piece is sitting on my desktop, and Im proud of it, so I hope you guys can get as much out of viewing it as I did creating it.

**Prints on their way**

~Take it easy guys.

Nice, I dig the lighting setup and the minimal backing to the space. Good job on those. The planets surface is also fairly well done, although at the same time, lacks a little bit more depth than it could. Main crit is the left sun, a little too sharp for personal tastes, or not really ambient enough. But that's really my opinion more than anything else. Overall, nicely done indeed

hm, I think that's a very nice piece in matters of colour and composition, indeed. it radiates a very soothing feeling
yet, I am absolutely not sure about that odd bright lightsource in the top left. also, the small planet needs some colour tweaking, right now it looks too alike with the big planet, it isn't outstanding.
hm, and the big planet has a very hard rim with those odd 1px lines you get with the embossing part. you should try to remove this.
otherwise, nice work

Awesome job, a must-fav. Only one question. Where's the light source for the more blue side of the planet from? There is that cluster of large stars, but they seem to low... (man, this makes me wanna make some more sci-fi stuff, I haven't done anything of the sort in, like, a month.)

You know Id love to be able to tell you but I have no idea anymore- you see Ive just been building up a collection ever since I started Digital art from anywhere I see textures that I like. Some suggestions would def be Mayang, umm...our very own DA has some good ones under rust textures, I think your best bet would just be to google "rust textures", or wood, paint..anything like that. Good luck man
