While looking up at his mom, Jack noticed her head turned and a big smile popped up on her face. He turned around, and saw a young, beautiful blonde standing in front of him.

Mabel introduced Jack to Janet. The girl had a beautiful smile. Jack thought it was a little strange that his mom and the stranger talked like they were old friends. But when he heard his mom ask the girl again if she had any problems looking after him, he thought about the surprise his mom mentioned earlier, and then he developed an apprehensive look on his face.

Janet crouched down and told Jack that everything would be alright. He had nothing to worry about. She placed her hand on his, as a way to ease his fears.

Even though Jack was 38, his mom had always looked after him. Now she was having a complete stranger doing it. He looked back at his mom, then Janet. She gave him a warm smile, telling him that he was very handsome.

Mabel told Jack that she and Otis would be traveling, and that he was to behave for Janet while they were away. Jack’s heart sank as Otis had retrieved a large suitcase that Mabel had packed. It was the suitcase that he and his father used when they went away.

Otis pushed the large case with both hands, until it was next to Janet.
