Another AP Art Concentration piece.
Okie, well she's not as well researched as most of my concentration pieces. She's sort of a mix of all the cool bits from a couple of African tribes. As for the pose, she's suppose to be laying down on the ground crying while it's raining, if you can't tell. Which um, apparently a lot of people can't.
The title "Let Them Fall" refers to the rain drops, the tear drops, and the African structures which were so often overrun by white men & minds. Again, this is NOT a white supremacy piece. No sir!
Anywho.. Overall, I'm not really pleased with how the image turned out. It's the first time I've done rain, & I don't think it went very well.

Beautiful work! So sad, and yet it draws the viewer at the same time. Her dreadlocks are gorgeous as well.

skin tones on her face are awesome and her expression is so poignant, there's so much intensity in her eyes, its very gripping, love all the details in her clothing, really makes the character come alive - the highlights in her hair are very well done and make her dreadlocks look almost 3D... the rain does have a bit too much of a sharpness to it i think, perhaps if you reduced the severity of the angle that its falling at and the sharpness of the edges? like make it thicker nearer the viewer thinning down to the lady?
i dunno, its a minor thing, i could tell what you were communicating anyway
