Mickey, Donald and Goofy are the original Ghostbusters. No doubt that Mickey Mouse cartoon, "Lonesome Manors" is one of the inspirations for the movie, "Ghostbusters", one of my favorite movies. I think Mickey is the original Egon Spengler, Donald's the original Peter Venkman and Goofy's the original Ray Stantz. If Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was in it, he could be the Winston Zeddmore of the group.
