Of course, and Georgie keeps a few soft peppermint sticks in his back pack (you know, the really nice ones that feel a bit like a chalk stick but melt into a soft cloud of flavor when you eat them) And Hilly of course takes good care of her teeth and packs a few breath mints in her belt pouch too.

It's always amusing and impressive when the artist is able to make an appearance alongside personal creations, and having both your most adored characters present makes it quite entertaining. Baroness Hilly looks more regal with that jewelry added to her fashion, while your Ganarf incarnation looks on adorably with his pleasant furry face.

I think it's a traditional thing amongst some cartoonists.
I remember a picture of Max Fleischer chatting with Betty Boop , one of Osamu Tezuka surrounded by his folks, and of course the pics of Micky and Walt Disney.

I remember Vaughn Bode doing a comic strip where he was being all cosmic and philosophical and his character the Cheech Wizard get so fed up with the high faluting talkΒ he kicks his creator in the puddings.
Bode had a wonderful sense of humor when it came to self parody. I mean, how many cartoonist get a lesson in humility from their own creations?
I guess I'm a lot luckier with my folks , although I'd rather get a "time distortion trick" (I.E. a kick in da' balls) from the Cheech than a dressing down and chew out from Captain Jenny.
