Trashing more characters from your favorite/most hated cartoon shows. I thought Jake needed more...everything. So I muscled him up. A lot. Stupidly even. They were random, I didn't use refs. Shading took FOREVER!!! But I like it!Are those things on Jake's back in the show supposed to be fur or spikes? I just made them furry.

Lol ahh my childhood right here and not that weird as heck crap of today! At least WE had cartoons that actually HAD a storyline that didn’t last only one episode and a really good plot to it. Anyways, Jake was based more on the Aisian Dragons of China and Japan with Western dragon influence because of his dad being non- asian so it’s quite possible it both spikes and “fur” going down his back.

In tasteful amounts, so do I. I've been wanting to learn how to draw them so that I can bring a couple of characters that have been stuck in my head to life. Until then, I have the one character whose build is the closest thing to muscle.

True, though later he becomes a Chinese type dragon. But before that yeah, they must have gotten the American genes from one of their parents's family. Seeing as how his Grandpa was the closest dragon to him, you would have thought he would start out Chinese looking. Must have just picked up that recessive gene ^^
