A corsett with straps (obviously). This one is based on vogue 7427 (out of print) but with some modifications. I altered the line under the arm, the width of the straps and the complete bottom line.The whole thing is made from 4 layers, dupioni silk, quite stiff cotton and a rather simple cotton as lining. The front panels were made from silver silk covered in black lace and embroidered with black sequins and rocailles, following the design of the lace.
I know the busk is inserted with the wrong side up but I realized that too late.

Beautiful! I am working on a new victorian corset. I'm having fun with the ribbon embroidery on the center front. I'm going to leave out the busk on this one I think.

Most of mine are without a busk in the front, too.

I added the sequins and rocailles. But I only followed the lines of the pattern in the lace.
(and they should just but a mark on them like "this side up".
