“Ah, Haruka-kun! You’re back early!” You smiled at the young man.

“Y-Yeah” Haruka blushed and looked away. How he wished your smile could only be his, but there was one problem…

“Hey, Haru-chan! I’m glad you’re back so soon!” Makoto said as he entered the kitchen.

Makoto was [Name]’s boyfriend and Haruka’s once best friend. [Name] and Makoto had been introduced to each other by Haruka himself. The events that followed their meeting had made Haruka snap. He had intended to ask [Name] to be girlfriend, but when he finally had worked up the courage to express his feelings, [Name] gave him terrible news.

“I’m so sorry Haruka…I’m already dating Makoto.” She shot a sad smile in his direction.

Haruka’s fist clenched as the memories of that day flooded back to him. His mouth formed a scowl as he watch the two lovers laughing at an inside joke only the two of them understood. Haruka threw his bag on the floor, stormed up the stairs, and slammed this door. Your eyebrows furrowed as the bang of the door resounded throughout the house.

“Geez, what’s wrong with him..?” Makoto wondered.

You sighed and turned back to the stove. You thought he had been acting strange since the day you turned him down. A hand covered your [e/c] eyes and you could almost imagine the grin on Makoto’s face as he spoke.

“Relax, [Name]… He’ll be fine.” His calm voice said.

Suddenly there was a loud thump upstairs. Both you and Makoto flinched at the sound.

“A-Are you sure Makoto?” Your voice quivered.

“Mhhmm, I told you not to worry!” You could sense a bit of uncertainness in his voice.

There was a slow but loud thump of footsteps on the stairs and you turned your head to see what it was. Haruka was walking down the stairs with a dark look in his eyes. Something about this made you uncomfortable.

“H-Haruka-kun a-a-are you alright?” You questioned cautiously.

You received no answer as he walked closer to you and Makoto. Makoto felt something was wrong and stood protectively in front of you.

“Haruka are you alright?” He asked sternly.

“Just fine Makoto… Step away from [Name].” He ordered just above a whisper.

“Haruka-kun…”

“NOW.” He snarled.

Makoto stood his ground and began to back you up to the door.

“Where are you taking her?” Haruka questioned.

“She needs to leave the house while you and I talk…” Makoto responded.

“No, she’ll stay here and you’ll leave for good…” Haruka mumbled.

“What do you me-!” Makoto was cut off by Haruka stabbing him.

Makoto fell to the ground and let out heavy breaths before Haruka stabbed him again and again and again. You crumpled to the floor as tears streamed down your face. You couldn’t believe this was happening. The once sweet boy who never showed his emotions was now stabbing your boyfriend, who was also his best friend, to death. Haruka finally removed the blade from Makoto’s lifeless body for the last time.

He walked over to your sobbing form and roughly pulled your [h/c] so that you faced him. You began to cry harder once you saw the crazed look in his eyes.

“Why are you crying, [Name]..? Ah, well it doesn’t matter, as long as that expression is only mine now… As long as you are only mine now…” He whispered into your ear.

Haruka then kissed you. His chapped lips roughly clashed against your smooth ones and the minute you broke apart he gave a soft smile. You never fought back. He had broken you. You were now his.
