Description
Dr. Ilene Chen and Dr. Ling Chen approaches the cocoon of the divine moth known as Mothra and the titan began to exit its cocoon. Mothra lets out her signature call and Dr. Ilene Chen and Dr. Ling Chen utter out the words "Mosura." Though Mothra had given her life to save Godzilla in 2019 during the fight with King Ghidorah and Rodan, Mothra can cheat death by simply laying an egg into which she will be reincarnated with her memories intact after her previous body dies. Mothra looks down at them and they had put their hand on the divine moth. Suddenly, a fireball flies towards Mothra, the divine moth shields the Chen sisters and then shoots up into the air.

Mothra divebombs into a green dragon resembling the Rathalos Godzilla had fought in New York. It also had sharp and poisonous needles at the edge of its tail. This was Rathian, the female counterpart to Rathalos and has some of the same abilities as her male counterpart. Mothra slashes at the green dragon with her front legs and Rathian tries to shake her off. Soon Rathian succeeds in throwing Mothra off and then she tries to grab Mothra using her talons. Mothra slashed at her talons and Rathian dropped her before the two continued their scuffle in the air.

Meanwhile Ilene and Ling were watching from a safe distance as Rathian threw Mothra into the ground before gliding down to her level. Mothra got back up and leaped at Rathian like a Mantis catching an insect. Rathian cries out before gnashing her jaws and creating a small burst of fire which caused Mothra to let go of her. Then Rathian did a flip before slamming her tail into Mothra.

The divine Moth cried out in pain as Rathian's venom flowed through her veins before firing a wave of stingers from her at the green dragon. Rathian was disoriented by the attack but she continued to fly through the barrage of stingers cutting into her flesh and then she tries to grab Mothra with her talons only for the divine moth to divebomb into her back where Mothra started slashing at Rathian's back. Rathian continued to struggle in the air trying to throw her off. Mothra then took to the skies and Rathian pursued her. Mothra then shot out a blast of silk at Rathian from her mandibles which sent Rathian plummeting to the ground. Rathian tried to struggle out of the webbing and she notice Mothra was closing in for her.

Then Rathian used her flames to burn through the silk and then she leaped up into the air before both she and Mothra had collided into each other. Rathian charged into Mothra knocking her into the trees and then Rathian dove down into the forest in hopes of finishing her off. Now Mothra was on the ground. Mothra got right back up and now the two would continue their fight on the ground. Rathian snapped a Mothra and the divine moth quickly jumped back before leaping into Rathian, her front legs slicing into Rathian's face.

Rathian slammed her tail into Mothra which temporarily knocked her off balance. Time after time after time, Mothra and Rathian continued to trade blows with each other, each one just as strong as the last. Eventually Rathian began to get the upper hand and she had Mothra pinned down to the ground. She lifted Mothra up into the air and flew off towards her nest. Mothra then took advantage of this to slash at Rathian's feet.

Rathian had to let go of Mothra and then the two were once again engaged in aerial combat. Mothra divebombed Rathian before using her claws to slash into her face. Their scuffle took them to the Rathian's nest. Mothra had gotten the advantage over Rathian as she continued to leap off of the walls and fire barrages of silk and stingers which had been more than enough to overwhelm the female flying wyvern. Rathian cried out and then Mothra stopped attacking her knowing that she couldn't fight anymore and was not a threat, she noticed two baby dragons, one of them was gold and the other one was silver.

Mothra heard them crying out and she gently touched the two young dragons as if she was patting them on the head. The baby dragons looked up at the moth with a curious look. Soon Mothra realized that these were the Rathian's offspring. Mothra helped her out of the silk before the female dragon looked at her before nodding. The divine moth did the same, they had now earned a respect for each other.

Also, Mothra understood that the only reason Rathian attacked her was because she seemed like a possible threat to her hatchlings. Eventually, Rathian's mate came by the nest, it was Rathalos, he growled at Mothra and he was just about to charge up an attack that could potentially kill her. Mothra then got ready to dodge the attack until Rathian had stopped him from charging up his attack and then she started communicating with the male dragon. Eventually, she had gotten through to him that Mothra wasn't a threat and he just looked at her. He would tolerate her but Mothra knew that he didn't want her in his nest and eventually she left on her own to avoid any tension.

Rathalos, Rathian, and their young watched as Mothra flew off back to her temple in China to heal her burn wounds from her fight with Rathian. There was no reason for Rathalos to chase Mothra now as his mate did consider her an ally and he wouldn't try to hurt her. However, he knew about Mothra and her connection to Godzilla, the same creature he had fought earlier. He hoped that she wouldn't betray them and inform Godzilla of their location, he feared that if Godzilla managed to defeat him he would kill his mate and his children. Rathalos wouldn't allow that so even though Rathian still sees her as an ally, Rathalos is still quite skeptical about Mothra.
