Well, Berserk does a weird translation between "elf" and "fairy". In Rosine's case, she made a wish on the Behelit to become an elf/fairy (depending on the translation), but the closest form that the Behelit could give her was that of an insect/humanoid. In her case, a moth, while her minions are more bee-like.
