Did you know there are actually 6 different flamongo species?

Two are found in Africa- The Greater and Lesser(The last two here) and the other four are found mostly in South America, but some in Central/North America.

Anyone else think we need more art showing the different species? The colour variations in them are too pretty to ignore!

Species: Phoenicopterus ruber - American/Caribbean flamingo

Phoenicopterus chilensis - Chilean flamingo

Phoenicoparrus jamesi - James' flamingo

Phoenicoparrus andinus - Andean flamingo

Phoeniconias minor - Lesser flamingo

Phoenicopterus roseus - Greater flamingo
