That is terrifying. I think it would be less so if they showed an awareness that it was there, but its proximity and the malignancy in the design makes it... God I love this.

this realizes my fears of looking under the water when i am in the water at the beach! i am always afraid something will be staring right back at me!!

i don't know anyone who doesn't have that. who is without that fear of something lurking in the depths, even if it just a little whisper in the back of their minds. and this is an eerily beautiful piece.

Love the textures in this, their really nice and grimy.

Utterly terrifying and yet poignant in a way--I love the hint of red at the bottom. That coupled with the fluidity of the monster really draws the eye around the piece.

I would love to see a 2nd part to this painting. and have it through the eyes of the man overboard . to put his head underwater and see her reaching up at him.. that would be a nightmare!
