The Snow Queen. Cover art for a compilation of Christian Andersen's fairy tales, wich will be published by Editorial Planeta, Argentina. My idea was to merge a naif style with some reminiscence to Mucha's art. Hope you like it.

Oh beautiful. It is simply gorgoeous.
I'm finding it funny that her nails are painted and nose and cheeks red.
But what sells this picture as masterpiece to me are :
1. Background. It is simply beautiful how winter wind and snow twist over Gerda and field of flowers, then almost become part of Snow Queen- it's personifocation. Also, as it turns to fur, I take it is shot-out to her coat.
2.Kai. He looks so scared and dead, yet lost and tired.
3. Finally, Queen herself- she has that wicked face, yet holds Kai in maternal way.

Y hasta mil veces superior a la ya sobrevaluadísima Frozen, que la verdad, dista mucho de esta emotiva historia.

I liked Frozen. It was cute, catchy, and at times very pretty. And I totally ship Elsa and Jack Frost (guilty pleasure!) But Andersen's story had so much more depth and had way more interesting characters. Disney should have grown some snowballs

..... i don't understand if all you people are just plain stupid or don't really give a fuck about jack's feelings .... i mean JACK FROST ..he will live forever ....ELSA ..is a human .... YES a human with winter powers but she is still a human that means she is going to die and leave jack frost alone and heartbroken in the end it would just cause the next ice age and i for one wont take part in fucking ending the world

This is really amazing.
If I were Disney, I would have done this. Like, why do they always do childish, stuff? No offence, but we like Evil, beautiful Queens, once in a while. You rarely see that from any family, movie.
You can make her evil, and be a kid-friendly movie, at once. They really should of stuck to the original tale.
I wish she really looked like this. Much prettier.

It could be good to have these sorts of design parallels, intentional or no. (And I'm giving the artist the benefit of the doubt, incidentally).
You can't be anywhere in the world without knowing what Frozen is, it's one of the studio's biggest hits. So if Gerda seems to resemble Anna and the Snow Queen, Elsa (but not enough for a case), people will be drawn to it - and in a weird roundabout way, won't be wrong.
The point being, this thing's going on a book. I'd be very surprised if that book doesn't sell.

I wouldn't say Frozen is garbage, cuz there are a few good parts about it, like the strong female protagonists, but this is diffidently much better than Frozen will ever be.

The original SnowQueen story is my favourite fairy tale as a child. I feel sad sometimes when today's kids will think Frozen is the actual Snow Queen tale when it's got so little similarities.

Amazing artists are impossible to compete with, so instead, I'll congratulate you on working your ass off at sharpening your skills, working relentlessly to better understand the forms and compositions, and pushing yourself to finish what you started.
Being an artist that can create something on this scale and at a professional level such as this, well that does take quite a bit of talent, but it also takes an incredible amount of dedication and an unbelievable amount of hard work!

Funny how Frozen was based off of this... it should've said "very loosely based" in it because Frozen had nothing to do with this Story, in fact the only thing it had to do with the Snow Queen was Elsa, that's it.
