Thanks, PG! Here, they are a little muted, but overall, a good representation of the original!

The detail is, as always, gorgeous. And yet the face is what draws one's eyes! Truly a work of art. The contrast between soft lines (of the fabric, and so on) and more sharp (ink-calligraphy-paint-like lines of the plum-tree) is brilliant!

Thank you for your kind words, Elenaria. One thing that I would like to explore a little more in the future is exactly how those two elements go together; the abstraction of the traditional ink painting with the tightly rendered figure. I'm working on a few larger pieces where these two concepts come together, but it will be a while before they are finished!

Thanks, Mitch! It's always fun to get back into color once and while, but I always return to the monochromatic goodness of the ink, lol.

I think the influence of traditional Chinese illustration techniques is obvious in the background on this piece, Bob.

My favorite of the three posted together today.

Thank you kindly! That will be my next series I think. Just landscapes, well...mostly tree branches, lol. I love the impressionism of the strokes that the ink makes, and the way the abstraction shapes form. I probably won't be showing many of them on here, simply because I want to do them large and have no way to scan them, but, one never knows.
