Yeah.... Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that he's just playing directly into Zielo's hands? Chances are very good he's going to end up doing something stupid, like accidentally killing his mother.

I'd say Sonic would turn into dark Sonic and Zielo would make him fight with Silver and Shadow. Or, as you said, did something stupid, but I say killing Amy. Why? You can tell that Zielo was planning to rip Sonic apart (emotionally) after looking at Amy at the end of Issue 8/Act 1. Sonic had already kinda confessed he loves Amy when they fought, and since Zielo can control his soulesses, then I say he probably heard what Sonic was about to say. Plus, in going to guess that Zielo has seen all of the soulesses' past, so that is further proof that Zielo knows Sonic at least likes Amy. It would also explain how he knows Sonic full name I guess. Btw Gigi, I loved what Sonic said

I figured if Bernadette lured him into the trap it means Zielo's going to use her first, then later escalate things with Amy. But... too many people at once could actually backfire in the storytelling because his relationship to his mother is different from his relationship to Amy. Back in issue 6 Gigi simplified it by having each hedgehog face off with a different one of Sonic's friends, leaving him focused on only Amy even though he was aware of the others. There doesn't seem to be a way to dampen the impact here since he's the sole hedgehog in town. I'm pretty curious how this will pan out.
