I am a student photographer attempting to learn all I can about photography. This shot is absolutely amazing! Very much deserving of the DD. Do you think you could explain the process of setting up the shot and such and then what post production editing you did?

It is not that difficult...put the camera on a monopod, use a wire or wireless release, low angle...in the car next to the beetle of course...and there you go...

Love da Bug! Great work on this shot. I'm really liking the color of this classic VW! The coppertone is stunning! The angle of the photo with the blurred background really playing tricks on my eye! I feel like its hurtling down the road at break neck speed but the angle throws me off and makes me think it is also speeding full steam backwards! The angle makes me focus on the sunlight behind it and i keep thinking of a rocket in reverse! A really great photo!

This is an older VW, you can tell by the size of the turn signals. The fact that it has bumper guards means that its a 60's model, especially with the large rear window. Very pretty car. This is an example of where I would like to go with my '72 standard beetle.
