Description Nature has a way of accepting the changes around it.
We learned to feel comfortble with sky scrapers among the clouds, power plants on the beach, high wire in the desert...

But when putting on the Infra Red filter, I'ts easy to see, we have a stranger among us.
Full size, please...

SO well said. If questioned who is the most adaptable u could say nature. She really does keep doing her thing regardless of changes. A great capture

That tower really stands out like a sore thumb, doesn't it? It basically ruins the awesome experience of nature captured here.

Well done!

wow ive been reading alot about IR at the moment, but some people use the effects and are still not all that creative... with the blending of the sky and the wicked reflection in the water, you give it a whole new perspective!!

The InfraRed reveals nature in a whole new way here! It's actually very beautiful. If only such a place existed in such exquisite colors. That's where I would be! Thanks for the link. I'll be looking forward to more of your pieces!

I really like the color you put back in your infrared photos. I just got my filter a few days ago so I'm learning now. Have you played with taking a color image and a infrared image over the top of each other? Also how do you get the colors in your infrared. I've mostly gone BW but want to start playing with the colors, I'd love some input on that.

gilad In reply to jejeel [2006-04-21 04:36:35 +0000 UTC]

Yes I did.
Realatio-ships in my gallery is made that way.
Thank you!

jejeel In reply to gilad [2006-04-23 00:15:39 +0000 UTC]

So doing a color and a BW is how you get your wonderful colors? I'll give that a try.

Sorry to keep bugging you. You have some of the best IR color I've seen so I have to keep asking. So when you don't use a color and IR photo combined how do you create the color? Thank you for the time.

I can't help adoring pictures like these: snowy-like trees, water and reflect on it, sky with clouds in it. These really get to me I also looked your other pictures and must say, I'm impressed I'm just starting with photography (first real photography course at school soon ) and I've been now paying more and more attention to the photographers here in dA. Glad I found you ^^ For seeing some people taking such beautiful pictures as this one makes me really wanna achieve the same level

I wish I had the guts to remove the IR filter from the front of my Canon 20D's sensor - ha. So anyhow, I still think this picture of yours is the nicest IR picture I've seen done with digital so far. That scene almost looks like Minnesota right now, with snow everywhere.

gilad In reply to Divinorumus [2005-12-25 10:08:24 +0000 UTC]

Don't do it!
It will disable your camera from doing all the regular photography ...

Anyway, thank you
I apreciate it

Freaky. I saw the thumbnail while randomly browsing and was like "hmm.. I can't remember that I uploaded this one to DA..." - then I realized that I wasn't even looking at my own gallery.

This is my set which confused me: [link]

Yours are better, btw.
