This shot was taken for an advertising campaign that the ministry of tourism is doing to the US market.
I don't do commercial work so I asked to know the concept in advance. The Idea was to do something different and that's why I was exited with working on this. Differnt photography and different concept.
The idea of the campaign is to focus on Israel through the people, and let the Israel landscape is only the background. The campaign will show still photos (taken by me) of 6-8 people that have an interesting story about them. They could have a story of something they were involved in, or an interesting hobby.
This woman is Maya and she was a dancer in the "Bat Sheva" dancing group for 8 years, and now she is finishing her veterinarian studies. I had a blast taking her shots, and she were dancing especially for me (and that's every man's fantasy right there)
The campaign is being done by “Christy MacDougall Mitchell Bodden” and will probably be released later this year to the US market, so this is a sneak preview. I will show you more of it when it will be released to the press.
We are all very exited with it.

I love how the background the building is a controlled setting, and how the foreground has this motion with the water and maya dancing. I think it is truly amazing that you didnt do a complete faster shutter speed to stop the action. The trace of the opposite arm and leg from motion gives it that fluidness that matches the water in the foreground. The motion definitely sets her apart and that she is the main focus of the piece. That there is something extraordinary about her. I also like all the shapes. I bet you had a lot of great shots in this shoot.

I saw this photo in the newspaper and thought it looked familiar, then i saw all your gallery the other day and saw it.

It's great! As soon as I seen the thumb, I knew what it was for. As a Travel Agent, I get that add in my weekly/monthly trade publications. I think it's a great shot. The colours are great, and I love how you captured her in a way that shows that she's Still (torso, bottom leg) yet moving at the same time (arm above her head & leg that's pointing out).
