Ah, yet another last-minute contest entry for
The premise was to create a character that was a fusion of two existing Teen Titan's characters. Now, those who are accustomed to my fanart know that the obvious choice would have been to do the offspring of Beastboy and Raven. But that would have been far too easy. (not to mention there was already an overabundance of them in the contest. ) So, i decided to try something different, thinking in terms of the most destructive combination that could come to mind, using at least one of the heroes. And so we have a fusion of Raven and Malchior, Seraphim.

~A dark object streaks across the night sky, crashing into the earth. As the Titans rush to find the source, they come across a charred crater, at the center of which sits a huddled girl who looks strikingly similar to Raven. The timid girl awakes, no memory of her past or where she came from. The Titans welcome her into their tower until they can sort out her past. Little do they know the terrible power that lies dormant in her...~

And finally, to the technical aspects. Lo and behold, I have discovered the Dodge and Burn tools! As such, this was my first piece to experiment with them, so this soft shading is a pretty radical departure from my recent string of cel-shaded pictures. Whether it's a better or worse style, i leave to you to decide.
