Oh me. Oh my. Perfectionist tendencies are a mixed bag. On one hand, they can cause an unbelievable amount of stress if you complete a project and immediately notice something critically wrong with the entire composition. On the other hand, they can motivate you to suck it up and figure out how to correct such an error with maximum efficiency, once you take a step back and analyze the problem to its fullest. This piece is one such example of that. The original idea had her with the sun behind her. Problem is, during the shading process I didn't take note of this and, well, about 4-5 days of shading in bursts later and I realized that the shadow's perspective is on the absolute reverse side it should be on. After having a mini breakdown that, despite being not all that bad, still embarrasses me, I turned off my PC and stuff and thought about it, processing it for a whole two, almost three hours. The solution was to repaint the background to have the sun out of view but implied to be not far from sight. Perspective is still off some, and it doesn't leave the same level of impact, but I'd say its... believable at least. The only thing I compensated on was the ground shadow, with how she's standing and with how the tail is positioned, all the other angles I tried just looked like muddled blobs... so I put it a little off-center. I didn't say I was a 100% perfectionist x3
