I can't say I've ever seen his films, but Lianov does look remarkably like the Sidney Paget illustrations of Holmes.

Indeed and I really don't care about his shortness, because Holmes is his mind and attitude and my Vasily is the perfect Holmes (and Solomin the best Watson... sigh... I really cannot believe he is dead, poor Solomin...)
