To be absolutely honest... I would have made the show about them END OF. I am not joking , Pokemon is basically about legalised poaching XD so why not make it about the poachers . In all fairness , I watched the show as a kid and EVEN THEN, they were the only characters with an actual personality and a versatility to them (bear in mind that I stopped at the 2nd gen XD , somehow I expect the 7th generation to have a door pokemon XD ). The only episodes I can watch now as an adult are the TR-centric ones . Each one of them got enough acting range as a character that they can fit in just about any story and STILL not feel out of place.
