Do you still know me?
It's been a while since I wrote a journal here. There was a time when I wrote way too many journal within a week and now? Last journal was in December...
Well, I am still around, I just don't have that much to share or talk about, I guess. Except some Artisan Craft stuff every now and then.
So tell me, what's going on in your world? Any news I should know about?
And yes, of course there is a reason why I am writing a journal just now.
Those that follow me already since a while know that I am into cake/cookie decorations.
Earlier this year I already joined an online competition with my "A Fairy's Dream" cake, but also signed up for a live competition. Decided to take that chance and am currently creating something I am not allowed to speak about or can show pics from before the judging was done (will be in October) - otherwise I will be disqualified.
The theme is Halloween, that's something I can tell you.
Planning this and going crazy is fun, but also a challenge and a bit of stress because there are many things to keep in mind, haha.
Another tricky part is, that you have to stay the entire time during those events, as you have to deliver the competition piece before it starts and are just allowed to take it back shortly before it ends.
It's all planned for October though, but.... yeah there is a but!
Not so long ago I read about another event that takes place in northern Germany as well (most are too far away)... and they have a competition part as well. The theme is christmas. I love this theme and I would much more prefer to take part there... not to mention I already have a billion ideas!
And now? Now I am thinking about how to raise enough money to be able to sign up there too, without feeling bad about it.
That's the part where I hope we could have a deal:
Basic, Fixed Width/Narrow and Regular Skins will be half the price for a while now. But paying via PayPal is mandatory (no points).

If you just want to support my weird hobbies and donate something, you could do that too, but I would prefer to do something in return.
(Yes, we already had that last year as well.)
Why I am bringing this up here? This year might be the only one I have a chance to take part at these competitions as the next year will come with major changes, if the current situation won't change much. And that's why I want to make the best out of the rest of this year - despite not being a good one in general.

I can't think of dragony things I need right now that could be flown from Germany. 
Is it possible to wait for a couple of months, either way? Basically as a result of being sent my pre-employment paperwork quite late, and my forms now not having reached the office yet... it looks like I might not get paid this month. Which makes things hard for the next month, as I am well acquainted with, sadly...

There is a deadline for signing up( I think October or so) or if too many sign up, they won't accept more. But as I join the cookie category, I doubt it will close early - interest for cookies isn't that great yet. For the train tickets it's a "the earlier you buy them, the cheaper they get" thing. I am not in a hurry, if it doesn't work out, it's ok. But it's worth to try
And don't worry about me, you have to take care of yourself first! Have read about that on FB already, not the best situation for you atm. And it sucks knowing that others messed that up, but you have to deal with the consequences.

For me, it was building some really powerful computers which enable new art tasks, like 3D rendering, music production and content creation. Now if I can only learn how to do these things.

Why not? The brain is a powerful thing and if you are going to invest some time, you will be able to learn it. Might not be easy, but I am pretty sure you can do it!
