Colored version here .Lineart of a Bleach OC I drew because *kageteiou is on a Bleach kick and I wanted to join in.
This is Gao Minoshima. His mom is Chinese, but his dad is Japanese, which is why he has a Chinese given name. He obtained his soul reaper powers in much the same manner as Ichigo, but his "benefactor" was already in exile, thus the Soul Society folks didn't really give two shits about this. Probably.
Currently, Gao lives on his own and attends a university in a city somewhere in the hopes to become a pastry chef. All other time is devoted to soul reaping (which he counts as "downtime" since he's living out a boyhood fantasy), aided by his depowered former soul reaper helper, who is as of yet nameless.
His zanpakuto is Otanashii Byakuren which (I hope) means Calm White Lotus. He hasn't yet figured out the whole bankai thing, but he's working on it.
I fully intend to color this sometime.

Wow never thought you would do a bleach OC. Well I guess there was that one of me as a soul reaper with oddly enough a cat-ball zanpakuto spirit. Anyways, great job.
