10E Update:Β With the launch of 40k 10th Edition comes a new "official" color scheme that embraces the black and purple. There are lots of us out there now, and it seems the hive mind noticed us! So, while I have enjoyed running Hive Fleet Megadeath all these years, they will be absorbed into the newly minted Hive Fleet Cetu.

the hive fleet name?Β this was originally NOT my army. the initial owner picked the name and the paint scheme. he sort of rage quit after his first game and left the models at my place. a few years passed and I moved. I contacted him to come pick up his army but he never replied, so it moved with me. another couple years went by, i got bored and started working on it for him. after the seven year mark, i contacted him again offering to reimburse him for the retail value of the army he abandoned. nothing. so, until he reclaims his original models (fully painted) or the cash, the entirety of Hive Fleet Megadeath keeps the same name and scheme.

I agree; damn.
I have a friend who got bummed when Beta messed up the army he'd bought, and another who can get pissy about games he doesn't like (i.e. doesn't win), but damn. That's Next-Level rage quitting.

the irony is he went form nids to space wolves lol. those are waaay harder to paint and play (imho).
