Yeah... I've been there man, lost in a world of literature in a lonesome state of mind... Admittedly I wasn't trapped in the dark green to pink gradient dimension but the principle's the same.
Its perfectly captured that emotion of "What I normally use to escape the troubles of the world is no longer providing the same sort of relief it once had" and the subtle detail of her slowly closing the book I think is a nice way of showing just how fleeting our hobbies and interests in things can be sometimes.
Honestly its quite thought provoking and actually inspires some psychological horror potential in a way to find that what once stimulated feelings of joy and happiness fade away into dull insipidness where you've quickly pulled back into your depressing reality.
