Description You've Come a Long Way, Kid

With our heads in the air, and our faces on the floor,
We’ll gather together last energies and head out the door,
Move into the car and lock ourselves in, to keep out
everyone, the air, and possible sin.  Hit the road, but
we’re not alone.  Everyone wants to forget where they come
from.  We’ll look at others and they’ll look at us.  A moment
in time that doesn’t amount to much.  That moment will
fade as we all speed away.  Yet, they’ll realize that all they
really want is a place to stay. (to stay the same.)
We’ll head down this road.
Fragile and old.
Ride and fall apart at the seams.
Perpetual motion and unfortunate fact.
This road’s worn and black.
But there are patches of light in between.
The nights go by, destinations get close.  We’ll pass golden
lights and parasite hosts.  The horizon brings what I
regret and where I need to be.  The hardest things
come with incredible ease.  Unlock the doors.
"I‘m still torn."  "The tension will do that to you."
So I’ll close my coat and walk these streets
alone.  The leaves float by and the wind blows cold.
This is the place where it all stays the same, and
that’s exactly why I’ll regret that I came.
Chorus
We live for change but regret it as we do.

Poetic Pantz! I've been meaning to comment on this fine piece of poetic brilliance for quite some time. I love this part: "We’ll head down this road. Fragile and old. Ride and fall apart at the seams." You are a very talented writer, I'm impressed and I'm not easily impressed. Give Sushi Moshi a big squeeze for me and tell her I was full of delight to meet her Nice work, Impressive Pantz.

Wow, that's awesome. I love poetry. I'll always read it when I see it. Most don't have what it takes to be a good poet, but you do. I like it!
