Using mechanicals took me a little bit to get used to, but they're definitely handy for crisp lines!

So true, I can't achieve as crisp lines as you can with an old fashion pencil. I am always breaking the mechanical ones and the lead is always flying at my face.

It can be tricky not to snap the lead, particularly the smaller ones. I still struggle with not snapping .3
What kind of mechanical pencil (size) do you use?
Whichever size, however, the angle is actually very important in retaining the lead, and becomes much more important the smaller your lead size becomes as well.

I've been asking myself why I like drawing Harpy so much, but you just keep making her look so awesome that it'll be near-impossible to keep from drawing her occasionally. ;D
I like it when you do weird/abstract stuff with your OC's. It really shows a depth of understanding as far as technique is concerned.

Aww, thank you! Honestly it's a bit similar for me, I'll have some crazy drawing spurs of her, and then when I haven't drawn her for a long time, I can't help but come back and do some more. I think there's just something relaxing about drawing all of her details and diamonds haha
