Description And now here are the characters introduced in the third series. It was the first series to have original ideas by Britt Allcroft & David Mitton as well as the first series to have episode be based on Andrew Brenner magazines. Which he became the head writer of the show from Series 17 to 23. Despite having some original episodes, Rev. Wilbert Awdry hates this series a lot. Especially on one episode where he complained that Henry and his crew broke Rule 55 when they’re making a stop at the lovely forest. He also complained that trains shouldn’t be so close to the trees because there will be a spark spitting out of the engine’s smokebox and it’ll cause a devastating wildfire. However, in spite of the complaints, I think Series 3 is a very soothing season. It was the first series to have music from proteus keyboards instead of synthesizers, and it introduced great characters from the Railway Series again. Here are some down below.

City Of Truro with the express.
Mavis with some stone wagons.
Oliver and his goods train, with Toad at the end.
The Flying Scotsman & his express train.
The Chinese Dragon
Bulgy The Double-Decker Bus
and Donald’s little duckling friend, Dilly The Duck. Which there is later a song about it in Series 5, despite Donald & Douglas not having any major roles nor speaking roles. But instead get cameos in a few episodes and deleted scenes.

Yep. Season 4 will be a major milestone for the franchise considering that it marks the 50th anniversary of the railway books as well as the 10th anniversary of the television series.

Yeah! I can see that! One question though, which is your favorite season and why? Mine is well, the 4th season.

Well, I first grew up with Season 5, which came out before I was born. I was born in the same year as Thomas & The Magic Railroad, and I was alive when Seasons 6 & 7 came out. So my favourites definitely have to be Seasons 6 & 7 because of the aesthetics from Gullane Entertainment. I love the new characters, the music is charming and soothing and it feels like the music how it previously sounds from Season 5. I think both of these seasons have a Season 5 feel to it, but with new models and different lighting. The songs in both of these seasons were especially good. I like Little Engines, Never, Never, Never Give Up, Salty, Five New Engines In The Shed, There Once Was An Engine Who Ran Away, and so much more. That’s why I love both of these seasons since I grew up with them.

Sure, granted it did have a couple episodes with not so great writing. But I can get use to the dull lightning as I’m watching it. Also, the intros for the episodes are certainly not like from the Sharon Miller episodes. They just give an introduction of the episode about what’s going to happen.

Your right about that! I’m saying give me this over the Sharon Miller and BWBA era any day, and you got a deal! And again, I respect you do! What I liked was that at the color palette in Season 7 improved was a bit improved, the characters introduced at the time were memorable, as I definitely believe they are unique, and had great characteristics, like Salty being a pirate like diesel, Harvey’s crane arm, Arthur being a perfectionist, but is more light hearted than Duck, Murdoch being the heavy goods, and in my series, Murdoch will have the exact role that Hiro has in the current series. Spencer being an A4 that’s rivals with Gordon, and honestly, I love Emily in Season 7 more, as I hated the Miller era version of her. The bossiness and snootiness felt like it could’ve gone more to Daisy in my opinion!

I also agree that I even like the songs they introduced at the time too. They were great!
