Description During the buyout from HiT Entertainment, David Mitton and his crew were working on another series a year after Series 6. Broadcasted in 2003, it was notably the last series in the Classic Era. The last to have David Mitton in charge of the show, the last to have music from Mike O’Donnell & Junior Campbell, and it was even Britt Allcroft’s last contribution to the show before moving to California in May of 2003. This is what made the series so important because of all of these things. But it also shows the signs of the transition to the New Era, like Emily soon becoming one of the main characters of the show, whereas Spencer is becoming one of the recurring characters of the show. Not to mention that some of the episodes may have the writing coming from the new series along with Series 6, which some of the episode may not be that great. But some people like them, and some people don’t. Series 7 introduces characters that appear in there.
