Description
You take my name andsnap it like a wrist bone.
Crack the consonants
over your tongue
until the vowels lay limply
in your mouth.
Bone shards. The letters
fall half-dead at your feet.
I cradle them in my lap,
sobbing their sounds as if
I could scream life into them again.
As if echoing their mutilated syllables
would make me belong to myself again.
You have my blood on your fingers.
You have my blood on your fingers
but you simply wipe it off on your pant leg.

That's pretty! My dev name is pronounced "Tea-g" and my real name is Eri, "Air-y". I get "eerie" and "Ar-ee" a lot. Oh, I got "Ariel" once. and "Erin" is super common -.- I guess it's my fault for picking that as a nickname! (My full first name is Erika).

Randomly, I just remembered, St Louis, MO has a theater called the Muny. Your name reminded me of it. I wonder if you were to go to the STL-area if people would be more likely to pronounce your name correctly. Tho, I suspect it's the last part that gets mangled the most.
