By the end of April, these have dropped their blossoms. If you pick a trillium flower, it will take ten years for the plant to make a new one. In the Smokies, picking these will set you back five grand EACH and put you in jail for five years.

I think the older one is the most interested in nature. Β He is always catching things and I keep telling him they have to be let go. Β Just last week he brought a toad to my house and he kept saying it was a frog and I had to tell him the difference. Β I told him it wouldn't survive in captivity and he left it with me to release. Β Sigh!!!!
