Whoa, nice!
I suggest you don't make your lines so thick, though. I mean, those lines you used in the background, for the hills. The thicker lines on his left side are good, though, they do well to give the impression of shadow. Also, I suggest you make him bigger. I know that his thinness and tallness is probably your stylization, but there's a lot of sparse background around him.
For your first tablet piece, though, DEFINITELY nice. ;D
