There's a large mafia magpie family by my flat. I the summer they will sit in a bush and make soft but really crazy noises, like broken engine parts or squeaking door hinges. They sound so real that it took me a while to figure out where they were coming from. There are videos on YT of magpies mourning over a dead pal, very moving.
