I like this very much. Maybe partly because this ubiquitous bird appears often in my photo collages. They sometimes seem an excuse for a bird. They do fly but tend to spend a lot of time earthbound trying to avoid flight squabbling as they attempt to scavenge without exerting too much effort. Your tired sea birds without wings look life weary and worn out, their inner bird has really flown away. It's hard when this happens. Perhaps they await its return and inspiration!
