Description Bob Dulce, AKA Candyman, is the criminal leader of the candy gang, consisting of him, his daughter, and his brother. Robert liked the story of Willy Wonka as a child, and he dreamed of becoming a candy maker some day because if it. He liked sugary things and, personality wise, was also sweet. But, as he got older, those dreams faded to the wayside.
He fell in love with a woman named Lindsay after high school, married, and had a child. He cared for his wife and his child very much, but after a while he noticed some very worrying tendencies. His wife had become very controlling. When he was considering matters his wife was opposed to, like changing career paths or getting a pet for Brittany, his wife would try to convince him otherwise. If that didn't work, she would become hysterical and, in the worst instances, threaten to harm herself.
No one else would see this side of Lindsay, but Robert, and he didn't know what to do. He wanted to divorce, but he believed his wife would pull out the victor with Brittany considering his brother's criminal history. He decided to run away with Brittany the first chance he got. Upon running away, he realized they had nothing. Brittany did manage to make two animal friends, but that meant more mouths to feed. Finally, he met up with Logan. By this time, Robert had been reported as a kidnapper, so he threw morality to the wind and doubled down on the criminal life.
I'm not entirely done with this backstory. I'll probably adjust it in the future to be honest. When it comes to toxic relationships, I haven't been in one, let alone a regular relationship, but let me know if you have any additions or suggestions. I already have some ideas on parts that can be changed. I want the candy gang to be a somewhat sympathetic group of villains, but I don't want to step out of the boundaries of reason. I don't just want Robert to run off with his child as a kidnapper, even if that is what he's doing. There should be some sort of inspiration or fear behind his decision. Hopefully this makes sense.
