Description A Sonic SatAM commission for of Princess Sally preparing to make a dramatic escape from the evil Dr. Robotnik and his Swatbots. The situation seems hopeless, but Sally has one last trick to play...

This was a fun commission to work on. While Sonic commissions are my bread and butter, I rarely get any specifically of the SatAM cartoon. I've never illustrated SwatBots before and only drawn the original Robotnik once in this pic . I prefer to use Pat Spaz's artwork from the pre-#50 issues, because his drawings of Robotnik are far more impressive and menacing than the cartoon. The mad doctor has one of the most evil grins ever for an animated villain.

I miss the original Robotnik. At least he was scary in the first season by the second season he was a bit more unhinged but scary nonetheless.

I've always loved the Sonic SatAM series with its many dark tones in the show, while also still having time to show some lighthearted moments with funny dialogue and laughs abound.
(Jim Cumming was the perfect voice actor for Robotnik here, no doubt about it.)Β Β
