Description When Mega Man Zero was announced, I thought, "ANOTHER Mega Man series?! How many can one fanboy handle?" Don't get me wrong - I'm happy with the game itself. But I just had to take the piss out of Capcom for taking the saga to the nth level.

So I made a parody of the "Not Another Teen Movie" poster and labelled each character from the MM and MMX with the same nicknames used in the original poster. I would have liked to toss in key characters like Dr Light, Dr Wily and Sigma, but I ran out of nicknames by then and couldn't really find ones that would suit them well. Still, this picture generated quite a few larfs on the bulletin boards and won the "Pic of the Update" award at Mechadrake Assemblies. I suppose its success speaks for itself. ^_^

Tron Bonne could replace Alia as β€œthe cruelest girl” for instance. Alia could be β€œthe pretty ugly girl” instead. Not to mention that by 2016 it seems the series would soon die for good, but then 11 came along. Or better yet, Ferham could be β€œthe cruelest girl”, with Tron being β€œthe nasty cheerleader”

As I recall, this picture is so old that I drew it before I even played the Legends series, so I didn't know much about Tron Bonne at the time. My loss, because she's since become my favourite Capcom girl. Still, I wanted to limit the cast here to characters from the original and X series just to keep things focused.

Ya That's what Capcom always did before, but after Mega Man 10 that came out in March 2010 they haven't released a single Mega Man game since then.

I think the series died after Kenji Inafune left Capcom. At least we should get a spiritual successor in the for of Mighty No. 9. I've already backed his Kickstarter for a free copy.

Hmm true.. But at Mega Man was playable in the 4th SSB game along with the other 3 idonic characters Mario, Sonic and Pac-Man. Love using his MEGA BUSTER Oh! Mighty No. 9 is something I'm looking to as well still want another Mega Man game though in my case it's a real disappointment on what Capcom's doing to that Awesome Franchise, Mr. Sakurai included The Blue Bomber Rock because of how the series supported Nintendo's consoles over the years since the series's debut in the NES.

You know,Β as of now, the irony kinda doubles up. With the lack of official Megaman titles these days, Inafune himself made what practically are Megaman games, only without the name (see M#9 and Gunvolt).

I feel I've joined the fandom too late for it to make any difference. I took my first steps just one month before Legends 3's cancellation. Still, I've been enjoying the series, including every adaptation I could read, watch, or at least look up (except the Brazilian comic book series...researching it, I get that feeling that it shouldn't evenΒ exist!), so my only regret as a fan (besides learning of that Brazilian...thing) was the bad timing of deciding to give it a shot.

i just love how irrelevant this is nowadays, with Capcom being 5ft stuck in the shitter and thinking that generic-ass Dead Space clone #80,000,000,000 is gonna solve it, and not by making Mega Men's... it's depressing really.
