Sonic delivers some heavy news to Knuckles.
Here, I wanted the lighting to be a little paler because the screen is the primary source of light. When the transmission ends, you can see that the character colours become a little warmer on panel 4 as the lighting shifts back to the firelight. Also, I forgot to mention last week that Dimitri's colour varies between dark brown in the early issues to red in the later ones. Like Remington, I decided to go with a reddish-brown colour to get the best of both worlds.VERSION EN ESPAÑOL

Anyway, chances are good Dimitri may not be able to accompany them to Albion. Having the former leader of the Dark Legion there may not be the best idea at the present moment. Remington is already on edge. That could make him blow a gasket and accuse Knuckles of capitulating or plan on betraying the echidnas again, yadda yadda.
Glad we didn't have to spend too much time bringing them up to speed. Usually there's a bit of back-and-forth before or after they come to the point, but Sonic has better things to do than ask how their work is going. What is he using to talk to them, by the way? T-Pup?

I have a quick off topic question, you know this one character, an Overlander (One of the few of a mostly xenophobic race who isn't xenophobic) named Nate Morgan? If so, ever thought he looked a little like the actor Morgan Freeman?

He was truly one of the few Overlanders(Including Hope Kintobor and the two orphaned girls that were adopted by the Wolf Pack) to open up and live alongside Mobians. Sucks that he died

Although most fans are unaware, Nate was originally a scrapped character from the Sonic the Hedgehog/SATam cartoon series, as found in the series' bible. Nate's appearance is described much differently being a tall, ancient black man with a toothy smile, a gnarled cane and had a pet parrot that once served as the environmental adviser to King Acorn. While ultimately not making it to the final version of the cartoon, Nate was eventually redesigned and retooled as a scientist for the comic series after comic staff had discovered his existence in the bible. It is highly possible that the original variation of Nate Morgan may be able to appear as Nate is essentially part of the SatAM universe.

Yeah, I didn't need to drag this call out, especially since I wanted to save a couple of silent panels for the news to sink in. Last week another reader wondered what Sonic's reaction would be to seeing Dimitri in Haven, but I kept Dimitri out of sight to avoid a needless complication. And yes, T-Pup can project a communications screen for Sonic. Sorry that's not made clear here, but it will be in a few pages...

Can't tell whether it would be more helpful to take Dimitri with or leave him behind to do what he can with Haven. Honestly, I think he'd be somewhat unsettling to see in Albion. Lara-Su is probably already gonna get some baggage over the DEL's actions.

I agree. I just forsee at least some trouble given Julie-Su is a cyborg just like the DEL that just attacked and probably traumatized a good portion of these people. Even if its common knowledge about her background having pulled a heel/face turn and being one of the good guys, tempers and fears are probably running high amongst the echidna. And that's not even trying to get them to understand Dimitri.
