if you follow me on tumblr i posted this sketch earlier but my child deserved at least a little better SO

while Lazumon was my first fan digimon, this kid here was my first real Digimon OC-- the only one that lasted more than a couple hours, any rate. Lazumon (or the digimon that became Lazumon) actually predates him, but he just had a series of rotating throwaway humans that I came up with on the spot.
so this noob is Takashi. it was actually originally smth else but i changed it years ago so we're going with the name I remember

And I deliberated long and hard over whether to keep his partner a canon digimon or replace it, but I couldn't bring myself to separate him from his rabbit. because I was 11 when I made him, his partner wasn't a lopmon, but a (partially-depowered, admittedly)
Cherubimon, because, as you may know, Cherubimon is my favorite digimon, ever and it always was. ... and I'm keeping that. He still gets to keep his less-powerful giant jester rabbit.

in a stunning show of 11 year old me doing something that present me would never think to do, he was actually paralyzed from the waist down, which is part of why I couldn't part him with his Cherubimon-- because he was both partner and mode of transportation, because the digital world is remarkably wheelchair-unfriendly.
I have literally no idea what possessed me to do that all those years ago, but, damn, as I said-- not something present me would think to do.

will I ever be able to use him for any of my projects? nope.

do I care about that? also nope.
