This is more bjork inspired art
–drawn while listening to random bjork songs- It seems I have had a taste to draw girls with their hair blowing in the breeze of late
The hair was created with black markers, black watercolor pencil –no added water- and a black fabric ink
–it came in a little tube and I just drew with it in the original her hair looks shiny and 3D I decided to use it because I had no good markers to fill in so much black space… and even my new black marker is running out when I have only used it twice –frowns- why are these black texter's and markers not made to last over a week?I had a lot of strong feelings behind this image and I feel quiet dumb for I have forgotten most of them…
She has antlers – a little innocent deer girl- I have drawn a girl with deer horns before and this is my second… funnily enough they both take this look of shame, shyness with a little curiosity to them??. … I am not sure why this is but for some reason I feel they are like this because they have taken on the deer’s personality… shy and fragile on its feet, Moving without sound in a forest full of spider webbed branches clinging to ever bit of hair and cloth as it can while she walks though it.
She is beautiful but shy and feels vulnerable to be stared at… maybe that’s why she stares at you?
The whole concept of this image was just what flowed from my mind… her white tatted dress getting caught in thorns… her one eye hidden as though trying to stay secret and hidden from whoever she seems to be watching.
Its like you have invaded her forest and she is checking out what made those bumps in the setting suns light…
I chose to use no colour and to not shade bits at all because it’s just what suited this image for me
Ill leave most of this to your own interpretation… it is important that people make their own ideas from this image

it's a good eye and a good mouth and nice hair but it's like cut and paste.... like frankenstein, yaknow? it has a torso and limbs and a head but does it have a soul? it doesn't seem homogenous... anyhow, nice work and nice comp.... just seems kinda like a pasted character confession.

thanks for your comment. i dont think its a cut and paste but maybe it looks that way because i remember while drawing the intricate branches it was alittle tricky to draw her behind them on a 2D scale. -shrugs-
this is an older work and i too see its faults.
its not based on any character though... it was simply a concept in my mind in which i simply drew out.
like i said above though i too see its faults and dont see the draw it has to over 1000 people -shrugs-
but people enjoy it... so i dont really care

the flow of it.
and i actually really enjoy that its been left black & white.
i think that adds to the whole feel of the shyness.
i think if it were coloured that may take away from some of the mystery and wonder of what she is thinking.
i really love that its like shes watching you watch her. (: (:

it DEFInitely looks Bjork-ish! yummy... well im really not a Bjork fan even tho i love her for being fascinating -- i just get a little jarred bcoz her rhythms completely mismatch what she's singing. then again, for artistic inspiration that produces masterpieces like this, the strange jarring melodies of bjork is a rich, rich source of creative potential.

It's probably because I'm a sucker for black and white, but this is one of your best in my opinion. I love it!
I want to say so much about it, but I don't know how... speechless? hehe What I can say is that my eye keeps moving to her hair. Her face first, then her hair, I don't know why, I'm just drawn to it immensly.
The watermarks aren't actually that bad, they add an interesting and nice feature, personally. On the thumbnail preview, I thought that it was part of the artwork.

It's a little hard to pick out her antlers/deer horns from the tree branches, but I think that's just the watermarks. But I know why they're there.
