Then all of a sudden a little girl in red rises from the water and the replicaes randomly gush out blood from their bodies for no apparent reason and the water is stained in blood. Thats what I would expect.

They are making a sequal, Project Origin, check out IGN, they have a 15minute video of a demo they played! Looks great!

Original gam ewas awesome, too bad the 2 expansion packs sucked terribly, Extraction Point was OK, but Persues Mandate...just....ew.

Sry, back to the drawings, good stuff, The heavy looks very good. Only thing is that the soldier to the left, his gun looks bent(the barrel)

It has never been more difficult for me to get excited about a sequel for a good game. (Ok, Half-Life 2 was also an onerous clunk of riding-on-previous-game's-name.)
You'd think that 15-minutes of gameplay footage would show at least something worth mentioning, especially after two expansion packs that weren't recieved too positively.
I mean, the footage looked like they weren't even trying. As if they just took the old game, added some polish and are tossing it out as a sequel.

Glancing though my games, nearly every sequel, no matter how similar to the predecessor, could still be told apart by a quick glance, not to mention a 15-minute video specifically intended to promote the game.

What is the meaning of fear...

I'm not sure, but I'd say you don't actually find it out in FEAR.
The game's atmosphere is a mystery for me. While I do enjoy the tension the game attempts to build and the funny horror-chichΓ©s, FEAR is not scary at the least. Intensive, brutal, entertaining, but not scary.
While failed attempts to scare me is nothing new, it's the next game from the same company that intrigues me in relation to FEAR. I think Condemned had mainly the same team working on it as FEAR, but that game was the most disturbing and frightening game on this side of Silent Hill.
That's a helluva leap from cheap scares to first-class psychological horror in between two games, in time of two years. Which leads me to believe that FEAR was more a kind of tongue-in-cheek good natured parody of cheesy horror clichΓ©s than an actual attempt to scare the player.
Which is ok, too. I just can't figure out how so many people on the internet were actually frightened by it.

A very good game. Stupid water, always sloshing around, making footstep sounds, messing up my radio, and giggling at me...

I like it! The soldiers look very dark and secretive, definitely not the type you want to meet in the sewers like that.

Also, Good job with the rim lighting!(I Like VERY much) I always have trouble doing that, But you managed to make it look very convincing. And dont worry, I've never had to CG water, but from what I hear, having trouble with it is normal. If you've never had trouble creating water, something is seriously wrong with you. Otherwise, I like the effect you gave it!

I just wonder where the hell we are, or what is ominously blocking the bottom left corner of our view? Is it another huge soldier? or something worse?

If only if there is something lurking in the waters.
