Description I have lost interest in continuing this picture, at least for now. So here it is as it stands.

I am dissatisfied with the lack of strong value contrast, the proportions of the figure (the head is too large), and the overwhelming detail without a strong focal point.

It is sad to leave a piece unfinished, but there it is.

Yeah, that picture reminds me of my Dad when he was that age. He was always big into outdoor stuff.

The proportions look fine to me. I do think you should at least make the pants not-pink, though....

I think is looking good so far.

The lack of focus would be solved with more value contrast in the figure, and leaving the background lighter.
