GloveHead — Homage to Mr. Frazetta by-nd

Description This is my personal tribute to Frank (THE MAN) Frazetta. I began this about two years ago. Unfortuanately, I was not able to complete it at that time. Those of you that are familiar with Frazetta's piece may notice. Not only is this my first acrylic painting, this is also the image that awoke my interested in painting. It is painted on a piece of scrap-wood that I found in my mom's garage. At the bottom, you can see the wooden floor so nevermind that. I took the picture with my camera-phone and it looks like crap a bit.

Thanks! You know, it's really encouraging to know that even a (pro?) photographer like yourself would take the time to look past the grainy-bollocks to see what is beneath. I've since DROPPED that phone company/manufacturer.

I'll do another tribute to Mr. Frazetta. He deserves better than this.

Let's say..."aspiring pro photographer". At the moment, being a sysadmin pays the bills...not photography. Hopefully this will not always be the case!

But yes--it's a lovely image--and even in a grainy, noisy picture, the Frazetta influence shines through. He really IS the man, isn't he?! My sweetheart is a professional cartoonist, and just don't get him started on Frazetta--he'll go on for days about what a genius he is!

despite the crapola phone shot, this seems like a really cool painting. Hope you find a way to get a better photo!

Could scan in sections and graft in photoshop... but that's much harder to do w/ solid wood as opposed to canvas that's been removed from the frame.

Had to paint on wood didn'tcha!

Thanks *Rita-Ria. You are so right: the current post does it no justice whatsoever. Although, it's not complete, it certainly looks loads better. I'm gonna just remove this one and a couple others until better tech becomes available to me. Thanks again. Holla
