Stephanie had tried to sleep last night, she truly had. But whenever she drifted off she was haunted with dreams of the monster. So when Grant picked her up the next morning she had dark circles under her eyes and she was yawning several times a minute.  They pulled up to her Grandma's house around quarter to twelve. Stephanie got out and looked at Grant,
"You ready?" she asked, Grant nodded in response and we climbed up the front steps to the front door. Before we could knock the door it flew open. Grandma was standing there smiling.
"Hello Dear," she said hugging me.
"Hello Grandma, how've you been?" Stephanie asked.
"Oh fine, fine. And you?" she asked. Then she noticed Grant, "Who's this?"
"I've been ok, and that's Grant. He's the boy who saved me from that bear a couple days ago." Stephanie explained. Grandma raised an eyebrow.
"Honey, we both know that it wasn't a bear that attacked you." She said, frowning and glancing around the area.
"How did you..?" Stephanie asked her.
"Come inside children, we have much to talk about," Grandma told us ushering Grant and Stephanie inside.

Grant stepped into Stephanie's Grandma's house and took off his shoes like Stephanie was doing. Then Grandma ushered them into a room off the hallway. It was dimly lit and smelled like incense. Grandma motioned for them to sit in some chairs at an old desk. She sat down across from us and studied us.
"You're in danger my dear." She told Stephanie, I felt her tense up next to me.
"Why?" Stephanie asked.
"The jewel," Grandma responded, reaching in to the desk's drawers and pulling out a small velvet bag.
"What is this jewel thing about?" Stephanie asked, taking the velvet bag from her Grandma.
"That jewel is your life source." Grandma said as Stephanie opened the bag. Inside laid a large blue sapphire. Stephanie picked it up.
"This," she held up the jewel, "is my life source?" she asked.
"Yes, your very special girl Stephanie" Grandma told her.  Grant looked at the old woman,
"Special? How?" Grant asked.
"Well, Grant, you should know. You're one too." Grandma told him.
"What?" Grant asked.
"You and Stephanie are Pushers, one of the most powerful super-humans in the world. You can make anyone think they did something just by planting an image in their mind, even if the event never happened.  You can force people to do whatever you want them to. You, Stephanie are an extremely powerful Pusher. Able to implant several people's minds at once, that's why they want you." Grandma explained. Grant sat back; this was too much to take in.

Stephanie felt like everything was crashing down around her. A Pusher? She was a Pusher? There was no way this was happening. She placed the sapphire on the table and looked at her Grandma.
"Who wants me? And why?" she asked.
"Natalia wants you, and she won't stop until she does. There was an old prophecy about a powerful Pusher overthrowing the Queen of Evil. Natalia is convinced it's you." Grandma told her as she wrapping the sapphire back in the bag.
"So she's evil?" Stephanie asked.
"Oh yes, she's the evilest you can get. That's why you need to destroy her."
"Destroy her?"
"Yes, Destroy her. Like kill her, you can do it."
"No. I can't. I can't kill someone!"
"You're just like your mother."
"What does that mean?!"
"You're stubborn, kindhearted, just like her,"
"Is that a bad thing?" Stephanie had stood up and begun to pace, she kept looking at Grant, who sat there, watching.
"No, not at all. But you need to understand, Natalia is pure evil, she radiates it. She's powerful, that's for sure.  But you have to destroy her, before she destroys you." Grandma said, Stephanie sighed and sunk back in to the chair, knowing Grandma was right,
"Ok," Stephanie said after a while, "what do you want me to do?"
