Ever since I had come up with the gender swap pair of Kenny/Kay, this idea had popped into my head. A mirror that shows you the person who can not help. But it is cracking...Related content

I really like the concept behind this one! It can be so hard to try to get two people looking at each other in a pic without having one's back to the viewer... I have that problem with merpeople behind glass. You did a great job with that here!

I had been practicing my different face angles and looking up a lot of pinterest takes on doing the face. And reflections. Someone had even found an example by Andrew Loomis that helped my placement. I also found that drawing a line from the eye lines help on getting the couple's faces to look right.
This wasn't the first draft. The mirror part looked more like just a clear bar cracking, and didn't make sense. So I reworked, and I'm glad it does look much better.

An interesting concept of one kind of mirror-magic! They're untrustworthy at best. Mirrors. Magic like this is bound to either crack into shards itself (and thus destroy Kay) or else crack the person who's always staring into so wistfully into the mirror (and thus destroy Kenny). Kenny can no more be Kay than she can be he. They each have to be their own selves!, and no amount of magic can really change the inner self, even if the outer self can be slightly altered.
