I guess I started out with this one in November, but have had long breaks inbetween fairly short painting sessions. I needed to wrap it up before I became too bugged by it, and although it's not exactly what I originally imagined, it's good to finally let it go.No real story behind the the character, but I imagine that she's some sort of shaman/chief/queen of a primitive tribe. Her scepter symbolizes the axis that connects heaven and earth, to which she has a magic connection. This connection is further accentuated by her eagle helmet, serpent leggings and chestplates in the shape of leaves that symbolizes fertility and growth. The scepter is crowned by a dragon figure, which is a reference to her tribe's mythology. The skulls in her throne are supposed to be those of the tribe's mythological founders, not her previous dinner guests. The chains in the background are simply the work of an interior designer who found his payment in the fires of that lamp there Hope you enjoy!

Lost my bottom cutters but it was all worth it...hope you don't mind if she graces the wallpaper of my computer screen for a while...cuz I downloaded the pic and saved it to my HARD DRIVE...
Something that I rarely ever do...my computer is totally reserved for my own art work...the desktop that is...but I had to try it and she looks great there for now...what an inspiration!!!
Continue on making hot art like this and I will have to ask you your secrets...tutorials and the such...
She is a joy to view...and a nice large sized wall print would fit nicely in my collection from friends from around the world...hint hint!

I want to be her when I grow up! (though I doubt I could manage all the necessary working-out to build those muscles! 
I really like this. As far as I'm concerned, it's practically perfect. Her expression and the pose are really dramatic. The anatomy is spot on and the costume is stunning. A great piece of fantasy art!

Wonderful work on the musculature and skin tones, and superb work on the bronze helmet. I really love the symbolism you managed to put into this, and it all works together to form a very cohesive whole. Love it!

Thanks a lot, Seedy! I really put an effort into the details in this one, and would love to put an equal amount of detail into all my pieces if I had the time. It is good to know that I'm at least capable of stashing up my characters beyond a loincloth

The amount of stunning power you bring to your women is refreshingly realistic and a beauty to behold. The way you use such dramatic lighting and convey the women with such statuesque courage and strength is truly something to behold.
All of your images have quite the Boris Vallejo quality to them and I just wanted to stop by and say keep up the fantastic work.

She looks awesome. If I could make one suggestion/critique, it would be that her legs look just a little wimpy in relation to her upper body, especially the calves. Putting the feet in that position tends to make the calves pop quite a bit, and my average build fiancee has larger calve muscles than that.
Of course that may have been intentional *shrug*
Everything else is absolutely perfect, and the piece is stunning

You may be right that her calves should pop some more, but they may also seem a little slimmer due to that snake thingy there
