Taken in RAW, edited in the Canon Raw converter.
Canon 20D, Sigma 12-24mm lens @20mm

It's a tough call to make on this image, there are so many slightly "off" angles near the horizon. What doesn't help is that the horizon is slightly curved to the right and the hill/coastline to the left is at a more acute angle. Every time I correct it, It still looks a bit off. Do you think that looks better?

I have an engineers eye and horizons instantly stand out to me if they are off by even a fraction

Sometimes your eye can be thrown out by other factors, like breaking waves and headlands but the horizon stil needs to be level lol
