I love that you chose to make the butterflies in colour while the rest is sepia, it's a really beautiful outcome and she looks so sad!

It is, unfortunately enough, a memorial portrait. Aylsa is sort of a representation of myself, and so while I told Gnewi exactly the layout I wanted, she was the one who decided to make her so sad.

Aylsa is a part of me that is older, from when I was a teenager, but since I don't feel as old as I actually am, she still very much represents me. The memorial is for someone from my real life whom I had lost.

Heya- long time no see! This is a gorgeous piece- the butterflies are soo pretty and I love the fact that they're the only colour in the piece and each one has a different design on the wings- plus your shading on hair and eyes is great as always!
